I’m very sad to announce that Protospiel Nottingham will not be going ahead in 2022.

Attendees who had already booked were contacted via email in advance of this public announcement; ticket cost and any additional donations will be refunded within 5-10 days (likely sooner).

Uptake for the event has been very small, and sadly I wouldn’t be able to cover the cost of the venue unless there was a huge surge in ticket sales. I feel it would be irresponsible of me to keep hoping for a sudden improvement when realistically I don’t think I’m going to see it; this would just make the cancellation more last-minute and problematic for everyone involved.

This event means a huge amount to me, and I would be doing a disservice to attendees and the Protopsiel ethos by putting on a sub-par event.

I’m going to take some time to reflect and evaluate the event; hopefully we’ll be back in 2023 bigger and better than ever. – Chris
